What are toxins?
Put simply, toxins are produced by bacteria, worms and food and water-borne parasites that enjoy a high sugar “junk” food diet. Toxins are poisonous substances produced by living organisms and detoxing is the process of eliminating them.
Parasites happen to be the most successful life forms on the planet and just about every body on the planet has them. These unwelcome invaders feed on the nutrients in your food and load you up with their secretions and excretions.

That’s because if you are not hydrated, rather than being eliminated, toxins will find other areas of the body to re-locate. Two locations toxins will favour are the kidneys and the brain. Headaches when detoxing are a sign that the toxins have relocated to the brain.
The 5 main food groups to eliminate during a detox regime are sugar, grains, dairy, caffeine and meat.
- Sugar “feeds” parasites and worms so by starving them helps to eliminate them and for the eggs and larvae to “die” off.
- Grains– especially wheat, helps to take the load off the digestive system.
- Caffeine – eliminating coffee and black/green tea because you are supporting your kidneys and liver to detoxify, giving these organs a break and chance to recover from constantly processing caffeine. Substituting with herbal teas will not only support these organs but also nourish them.
- Meat – substituting red meat as it is acidic (parasites thrive in an acidic body) plus meat requires a lot of digestive enzymes. Undigested meat remains in the intestines and becomes putrefied and creates more toxic build up.
